Presentation: “Structured planning and construction of biotech plants with insight into examples of German and international projects”

Glatt Process & Plant Engineering Pharma+Biotech is actively participating in the BioEconomy e.V. Business Meeting on December 3rd, 2024 in Merseburg, Germany.

The focus of this is “Engineering in the bioeconomy – innovation needs implementation!”.

Experts from the industry will report on current large-scale projects and share their experiences in the large-scale implementation of biotechnological processes.

Questions such as these will be discussed:

How is the large-scale realization of novel processes structured?
What challenges need to be overcome for successful process scaling?

Our Glatt biotechnology expert Dirk Steinhäuser will present the methodical approach of the Glatt Process & Plant Engineering division in the biotech segment as part of his lecture “Structured planning and construction of biotech plants – with an insight into project examples in Germany and internationally” and will use the examples to outline the expertise and the targeted interaction of process development, design basis, project phases, implementation, cost and scheduling aspects.

The project teams at Glatt Process & Plant Engineering realize biotech projects for the production of biotechnological APIs as well as for the fractionation of human blood plasma and the production of blood plasma products.
