Strengthening of pharmaceutical engineering capacities
New branch office for Glatt Ingenieurtechnik in Dresden
November 2015: Glatt Ingenieurtechnik GmbH opens a new pharmaceutical engineering branch in Dresden in January 2016. Based on the good capacity utilization and positive market outlook, the Glatt Process & Plant Engineering division is strengthening its expertise in the areas of pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and active ingredient plants at the existing Glatt Group site. Among others, a number of experienced pharmaceutical specialists from a major plant engineering company have been recruited for this purpose. The new branch is to be expanded further in the future.
In addition to projects for the pharmaceutical industry, the factory planning and plant engineering company has also been active in project business in the chemical, food and animal feed industries for 25 years. Glatt combines professional engineering with sound technological know-how. In addition to the company headquarters in Weimar and the new branch office in Dresden, Glatt Ingenieurtechnik has further offices and subsidiaries in Wiesbaden, Moscow, New Delhi, Switzerland and the USA.
Glatt Ingenieurtechnik has many years of experience in biotechnological projects. Initial projects in the 1990s included the planning and delivery of insulin and vaccine projects for Eastern Europe. After the turn of the millennium, projects relating to enzymes, proteins and yeast plants in Europe and the Middle East were added.
Now the Glatt Group’s biotechnology expertise is being strengthened by a competent engineering team of experienced biotechnologists at the Glatt site in Dresden, which has been established since 1991.
